Why Should You Choose - EAST?
Our ultimate goal is for the kids to leave our lacrosse program a better player with new skills that improve their play. Coaching is one of our highest priorities - you invest a lot in this club, and your son deserves the best possible coaching.
Our High School program will be led by Kris Weaver, head coach at St. Vincent Pallotti Preparatory High School. Coach Weaver has invited several experienced assistant coaches to work with him, and will also be joined by a number of guest position coaches during practice sessions and clinics.
Our Youth program will be led by Gary Hahn, commissioner of the Bowie Boys & Girls Club Lacrosse program and commissioner of the Mid-Maryland Indoor Lacrosse League. Coach Hahn has also invited several experienced coaches to work with him, making sure each team has several coaches to help ensure the boys get the most out of their summer experience.
We intend to hold one or more clinics exclusive to members of our lacrosse club, led by MLL star Justin Smith of the Chesapeake Bayhawks. Justin is not only a founder of the Club, he is an accomplished teacher and clinician, sharing his immense lacrosse talents with kids all around the nation. Justin will come to practices for several of the East teams, and will engage his NCAA and MLL friends as well - you never know who might show up to a practice!
The High School and Youth teams will each participate in 4 summer tournaments for 2012. It is our intent to eventually grow the program into multiple teams at each level, and hopefully introduce an NPYLL team at the Youth levels in 2013.
Lacrosse is about having fun, and we incorporate many activities into our programs so "having fun" remains a top priority. We look forward to seeing you on the fields next summer!
Mission
Our aim is to provide each player with the best lacrosse instruction by elite coaches from the "hotbeds" of the sport. Lacrosse is about having fun, and we incorporate many activities into our programs so "having fun" remains a top priority.
